Sightseeing in Nepal

Sightseeing in Kathmandu or its adjoining district Bhaktapur can be tailored for 2 to 3 days and a half day or full day excursion. You can do it on foot in the core areas of the city but renting a car or bus is advisable for the outlying areas. Kathmandu and Bhaktapur are dotted with ancient temples and former palaces ( most of which have been converted to museums ). It is rich in architecture and heritage and every next building is proof of this. It is chaotic but vibrant and colourful. Buddhism and Hinduism inter twine and mound like stupas and pagoda style temples can be seen within every kilometer. Boudhanath and Swayambhu for Buddhists and Pashupatinath for Hindus are important pilgrimage sites. Everything about Nepal fuses into one in Kathmandu. Patan Durbar Square, Basantapur and Bhaktapur are also must visit spots.
