Welcome to Nepal Himalaya Trekking
A Brief Introduction &
Reasons to Come Visit
Nepal is a centrally located country
in Asia or more precisely South
Asia. Sitting in the lap of the mighty
and breathtaking Himalayas with
Tibet- China to the north and
India to the south, it would have
to be the first place to visit before
embarking on other adventures
in the region. Mount Everest or
"Sagarmatha"in the local dialect,
the highest peak in the world, has
offered generations of climbers the
ultimate thrill and challenge they
seek. It is the birthplace not only
of Buddha but Buddhism itself and
one can always make a pilgrimage
to Lumbini, the very place where
he was born. Home to the "Bravest
of the Brave", the Gurkhas
and the fastest climbers in the
world, the Sherpas and traditionally
skilled master craftsmen, the
Newars, Nepal caters to every
conceivable whim of the traveler.
Trekking through rhododendron
trails, climbing the famed peaks of
the Himalayas, hitting the rapids of
the white waters fuelled by glacial
melt, riding atop an elephant and
coming face to face with the Royal
Bengal Tiger, sightseeing in the
ancient temples, palaces, stupas
of Kathmandu; the list goes on. To
attempt to describe the cultural,
ethnic, topographical diversity of
Nepal would put the most seasoned
writer to test. You would
have to experience it to believe it.
It is a journey back in time without
traveling back in time.
Furthermore and as an added
bonus, Tibet, Sikkim, Bhutan and
India happen to be our neighbours.
You ask for it, we have it !!
